MICHAEL WESLEY GOOTEE, age 70 years, of Street, Maryland died on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 4:00 a.m. at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, Maryland. He was the wife of Linda Jean (Haga) Gootee and in November they celebrated their second anniversary.

Mr. Gootee was born on December 2, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a son of the late Wilson Charles and Marie Catherine (Morgereth) Gootee. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He had lived in the northern Harford County, Maryland/southern York County, Pennsylvania areas for over twenty years. He was self-employed working in the construction business. He worshiped in the Roman Catholic faith. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #182 in Whiteford, Maryland. He enjoyed fishing and he strived to live life to its fullest.

A brother-Tom Gootee of Momosassa Springs, Floria

He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Gootee.

Following cremation, all services will be private.
