MILDRED I. SNAPP, age 71 years, of Bel Air, Maryland died on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland.

Mrs. Snapp was born on April 11, 1936 in McCann's Corner, Harford County, Maryland; she was a daughter of the late John C. and Alice I. (Wallis) Laye. She was a lifetime resident of Harford County, graduating from North Harford High School in 1954. She held various companies: the former C&P Telephone Company in Harford County, Old Line Plastics in Street, Maryland, the former Bata Shoe Company in Belcamp, Maryland and Mariner Health of Forest Hill, Maryland. Mrs. Snapp was a family oriented person.

She is survived by:

Four children-

Rodney A. King and David Lee King, both of Bel Air, Maryland

Robin Sheppard and Rhonda Sheppard, both of Baltimore, Maryland.

Two grandchildren-

Justin King of Fallston, Maryland

Travis King of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania

A brother, John Robert Laye of Forest Hill, Maryland

A sister, Lorraine Moody of Bel Air, Maryland.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael C. King.

Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, April 7, 2008 from 10AM - Noon at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at the funeral home beginning at noon with Pastor Noah A. Tharp of the Bel Air Church of the Nazarene officiating.

Interment will be in Dublin United Methodist Church Cemetery, Street, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society-Harford Unit, PO Box 43025, Baltimore, MD 21236-0025.

Pallbearers will be Chris Edwards, Lee Edwards, David Dowell, Eric Dowell, Kenneth Vickers and Robert Caudill.
