MINNIE RUTH JONES, age 87 years, died on Monday, September 30, 2013 in her Darlington, MD home. She was the wife of Verner Jones who died in 1992.

Born on September 18, 1926 in Warrensville, NC, she was a daughter of the late George E. and Callie (Jones) Gilley. Mrs. Jones was a member of Clifton Baptist Church in Warrensville, NC and had attended Restoration Family Worship Center in Peach Bottom, PA. A homemaker, she loved her cats, working in her yard and reading the Bible.

She is survived by:

Three children-

Verner Jones and his wife, Betty of Conowingo, MD

Connie Pell and her husband Windell, of Peach Bottom, PA

Kenneth Jones of Abbottstown, PA

A brother, George E. Gilley and his wife, Myrtle of Jefferson, NC

Two sisters-

Mary Nell Lewis, Jean Holbrook and her husband, Jim, all of Warrensville, NC

Three grandchildren and five great grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with her son-in-law, Pastor Windell E. Pell officiating.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
