MIRIAM KATHLEEN SNYDER, age 88 years, died on Thursday, February 2, 2012 in the home of her daughter in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She was the wife of William H. Snyder who died on September 6, 2011.

Born on August 27, 1923 in the Sunnyburn area of York County, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lillie (Pomraning) Atkins. Having lived in Gaithersburg for the past 2 /2 years, she had previously resided in Delta. Mrs. Snyder had worked with her late husband for 20 years at their Snyder's Gulf Service Center in Delta. A member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Snyder also enjoyed gardening, cooking and genealogy.

She is survived by:

Two daughters-Donna A. Soskin and her husband, Donald of Gaithersburg, Maryland

E. Kay Lloyd of Washington, Pennsylvania

A sister, Catherine McCallister of Airville, Pennsylvania

Two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and seven nieces/nephews

Services were held on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Pine Grove Presbyterian Church in Airville, Pennsylvania with interment in the adjoining church cemetery.

Her pastor, Reverend James B. Shuler officiated.
