Obituary

NANCY JEAN HANNIGAN, 85 of Delta, PA, formerly of Baltimore, died in her home on the morning of Saturday, August 24, 2024. She was the beloved wife for 57 years of Donald Hannigan who died on February 3, 2013.

Born in Charles City, IA on May 11, 1939, she was one of five children of the late Gale Springer and Mary (Byrne) Springer. Nancy met the love of her life, Don in San Diego, CA while he was serving in the military. The couple settled in Baltimore, MD where they lived and started their family until 1987 when they came to York County. Nancy was a devoted mother, raising their six children and enjoyed family activities. She loved to travel, especially taking cruises, but would always find a church so she could worship while away from home. Nancy could be counted on to make holidays and family events special with her party favors and additional crafts. Later in life, Nancy became a computer whiz having taught herself the skills and computer programs such as photo shop.

A strong woman, Nancy was a devout Catholic and had worshiped since coming to the area at St. Mary Catholic Parish in Pylesville, MD where she will be laid to rest in the church cemetery later this week.
