NANCY M. MACKLIN, age 79 years of Airville, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2012 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Robert G. Macklin with whom she had shared 59 years of marriage.

Born on April 6, 1932 in Dover, DE, she was a daughter of Thurber Horace and Delsie Mae (Jones) Forbes. Mrs. Macklin will be remembered as a dedicated loving farm wife, devoted and caring mother and dear friend to all. Mrs. Macklin enjoyed playing bingo, was a former member of the Brogue Ambulance Auxiliary and attended McKendree United Methodist Church.

A brother, Jerry Forbes of Magnolia, DE

A sister, Shirley Johnson of Dover, DE

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard G. "Mack" Macklin, a brother-John Forbes and sisters-Peggy Jester and Ruth Porter.

A time for visitation with her family will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.at McKendree U.M. Church, 3708 Delta Road, Airville, PA.

A Celebration of Life will follow beginning at 3:00 p.m. with the church minister, Pastor David A. Walker officiating.

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
