NANCY MAY (BLAKE) ROARK, 84 of Bel Air, MD passed away in the afternoon of Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Nancy was the wife to Ellis Roark for 43 years until the time of his passing on November 27, 2002.

Born on October 25, 1939 in Peach Bottom Township, York, Co, PA, she was one of ten children born to the late Arnold Wilton Blake and Annette Jane (Friel) Blake. In her earlier years, Nancy loved to cook, grow a garden and can the vegetables for her family, but most of all, she cherished taking care of others. With her kind heart, she could always be counted on to help those in any kind of need. Strong in her Christian faith, Nancy was a faithful listener to the radio ministry of Oliver Green, listened to the tapes of her family's worship services and was known to have nearly memorized all of the Holy Scriptures of the Bible.

Robert Ellis Roark and his wife, Cheri of Bel Air, MD

Vincent Wayne Roark and his wife, Ella Mae of Darlington, MD

Five grandchildren-Justin, Sarah, Emily, Anna and Vincent

Six great grandchildren-Lucas, Beau, Laney, Emmett, Parker and Mason

Two siblings:

Robert Ray Blake and his wife, Betty of Valparaiso, FL

Virginia Wolfe of Whiteford, MD

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karan Roark in 1973; seven siblings: Mabel, Ralph, Jesse, Ruth, Carroll, Summers (known as Jr.) and Juhl.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 18th at Franklin Missionary Baptist Church, 2106 Franklin Church Road, Darlington, MD 21034 with a viewing from 10 – 10:50 a.m. The funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with her pastor, Reverend John Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA. A luncheon will be held after the interment in the church fellowship hall.
