NAOMI OLDENBURGH MOORE, 72 of Delta, PA died on Saturday, March 25, 2023 in York Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas E. Moore. Born on October 5, 1950 in Stockbridge, VT, she was one of four children born to the late Norman Wesley Oldenburgh and Esther Marion (Southworth) Oldenburgh. Naomi attended Stockbridge Central School and graduated from Whitcomb High School of Bethel, VT.
Naomi served her country in the United States Army for 20 years as a field medic. She was very proud of her military career and continued in the medical field in her retirement from the armed forces. Even after retirement, Naomi enjoyed working with the elderly and their families, and continued offering love and support as a companion care aide. She was an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and enjoyed her time working with the children in their Sunday School program. She also enjoyed her time at the Delta Area Senior Center, playing bingo, cribbage and the company of her friends. She was a strong member of her family and had time for any of them no matter what she was doing to lend an ear and support. She was loved greatly and will be sorely missed.
She is survived by;
A son, Perry Moore (Stephanie Bennington) and his daughter, Julie Ann Moore
Three siblings:
Allison Curry, Elaine Forry and Guy Oldenburgh
Three step grandchildren-
Jenna Wray, Jessica Darbrow and Madison Bennington
Three step great grandchildren-
Bentley Darbrow, Jaelynn and Joslynn Wray.
Services will be scheduled at a future date. Harkins Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements.
