Norman L. Blackwell, age 63 years, of Delta, PA died on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at York Hospital, York, PA.

Mr. Blackwell was born on August 10, 1944 in Delta, PA, a son of the late Frank and Mildred (Baker) Blackwell.

Norman was a graduate of Kennard Dale High School. He was a member of Slateville Presbyterian Church where he was a former Sunday School teacher. During the late 1960's he was a York County Sheriff. He was a former Fire Chief of the Delta Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company. For many years he was an auctioneer and had managed the North East Auction Galleries and Flea Market in North East, MD until his health prevented him from working. He had also been a school bus driver for Colvin's Bus Service.

He is survived by a brother- Dennis Blackwell of Texas

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 2 at 1 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA with Pastor Judy Walker of Delta United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Slateville Cemetery, Delta, PA
