Obituary

OLIVER W. MUNDIS, age 85 years, of Bel Air, Maryland, died on Friday, October 7, 2005 at 1:45 PM at Eagle View Assisted Living in Whiteford, Maryland. He had been the husband of Ruth (Logan) Mundis who died in 1998.

Mr. Mundis was born on January 3, 1920 in Cardiff, Maryland; a son of the late John and Luella (Thompson) Mundis. He was a United States Army veteran of WWII serving with Company 8 , 10th Armored Infantry Battalion in the European African Middle Eastern Theater. He was a past Post Commander of the VFW Post #10146 in Dublin/Darlington, Maryland. He had worked as a chemist for the Edgewood Arsenal in Harford County, Maryland. Moving from Edgewood, Maryland, he had lived in the Street, Maryland area for over fifty-four years before moving to Eagle View Assisted Living.

He is survived by:

Three children-

Debra McCown of Port Deposit, Maryland

Donald Mundis of Conowingo, Maryland

David Mundis of Woodstock, Georgia

Six grandchildren and five great grandchildren

Many loving nieces and nephews.

His brother, John Mundis, preceded him in death.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania with honors presented by the VFW Post #10146.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, Pennsylvania

Pallbearers will be Duane Crouse, Bruce McCown, Eric McCown, Spenser McCown, Justin Mundis Velasco, and Chris Warns.
