OSCAR D. WILLIAMS, age 84 years of Street, Maryland died on Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Forest Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center in Forest Hill, Maryland. He was the husband of Doris Jean (Shue) Williams. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this coming September 10th.
Mr. Williams was born on October 6, 1921 in Leonard, West Virginia a son of the late Nina Morrison. He was a United States Army Air Force veteran serving during World War II. Mr. Williams was employed as an explosives operator at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Harford County, Maryland for many years. He also restored Ford tractors.
In addition to his wife he is survived by:
Four sons-
Oscar Leon Williams and his wife, Mary Rita of Pylesville, Maryland
Rodger Williams and his wife, Susie of Street, Maryland
Ricky Williams and his wife, Sue of Perryman, Maryland
Randy Williams and his wife, Sharon W of Street, Maryland
One daughter-Barbara Simmons and her husband, Fred of Aberdeen, Maryland
Thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
Also survived by three half sisters and one half brother
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 11 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania. His son, Pastor Randy Williams of Trappe Missionary Baptist Church, Darlington, Maryland and Reverend Dr. John E. McKnight of Evangelical Methodist Church, Street, Maryland will officiate.
Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery, Street, Maryland.
