Owen B. Ford, age 99 of York, Pennsylvania, formerly of Whiteford, Maryland died at Country Meadows, York, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. He was the husband of Florence (McCallister) Ford. They had been married for 66 years.

Mr. Ford was born on February 18, 1911 in Whiteford, Maryland a son of the late Bryan and Mary (Hughes) Ford. He was a member of Slate Ridge Presbyterian Church where he had served as an elder and trustee. Mr. Ford had worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground, retiring in 1971 after 30 years of employment. He was a member of the Mason-Dixon Lions Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son- Dennis Ford and also preceded by a brother Henry T. Ford and two sisters Catherine Wise and Esther Wheeler.

Funeral service will be on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Slate Ridge Presbyterian Church, 1630 Chestnut St., Whiteford, Maryland with his pastor Reverend Carletta Curley officiating.

Visitation will be at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, Pennsylvania on Thursday, February 25th from 6-8 PM.

Burial will be at Slate Ridge Cemetery.
