PATRICIA A. ROLAND, age 70 years of Oxford, PA died on Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Calvert Manor Nursing Center in Rising Sun, MD. She was the wife of John Roland who died in 2001.

Mrs. Roland was born on July 26, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland a daughter of the late Irving and Alberta (Boyle) Scarborough. She had lived in the Conowingo/Rising Sun area for the past 30 years and for 14 years was the store manager for the Citgo station in Conowingo, MD. Mrs. Roland loved watching sports, loved her animals and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by:

Three daughters: Dianna Stanley and husband Robert of Rising Sun

Lisa Hanna and husband David of Oxford, PA

Bonnie Rios and husband Marty of Rising Sun

One son: David Roland of Elkton, MD

Also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Roland, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA.

Pastor Timothy Britton of the Crossroads Bible Church in Elkton, MD will officiate.

Interment will be in Tabernacle Cemetery, Whiteford, MD.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10 to 11 a.m.
