Paul Micajah Cooper, 93, of Airville, PA, died at WellSpan York Hospital on Sunday, June 16, 2024. Paul was one of eight children born in Parkton, MD, to his late parents, John W. and Alta M. (Barshinger) Cooper. His loving wife, Barbara Ann (Johnson) Cooper, survives at home.

Paul was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was stationed onboard the USS Belle Grove during his military enlistment. After discharge, Paul worked as an electrician for 38 years at Bethlehem Steel. He will be remembered by his family as a loving husband and father. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, tinkering around his farm and spending time at his beach home in Ocean City, MD. Paul was a member of the former McKendree United Methodist Church, now McKendree Faith Church since 1957. He also held memberships to the Scottish Rite, Order of Amaranth and Friendship Lodge #663 F&AM.

Paul is survived by his loving wife at home, by his children, John P. Cooper, of Lititz, PA and Marryann R. Cooper, of Airville, PA and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his siblings; Helena Berkoff, John W. Cooper, Jr., Rachel Clausser, Robert Cooper, Frances Doughtery, Mildred Cooper and Betty Jane Wilson.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at McKendree Faith Church, 3708 Delta Road, Airville PA. The funeral service will begin in the sanctuary of the church at 11:30 am with Reverend James B. Shuler officiating. Interment with military honors will be held immediately following the funeral in the adjoining church cemetery.
