Obituary

PEARL S. WILSON, age 94 years, formerly of New Park, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Barbara J. Egan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania.

She was the wife of Thomas A. Wilson Sr. who died on September 13, 1991.

Mrs. Wilson was born on September 16, 1914 in Sunnyburn, York County; she was a daughter of the late Melvin James and Mary Bell (Stern) Shanbarger. She retired in 1976 from the Southeastern School District after working for more than 20 years.

She was a member of Centre Presbyterian Church in New Park for more than 50 years.

She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Shrewsbury Eastern Star Chapter #483.

Pearl was the most caring and loving person ever who made absolutely everyone feel welcomed, loved and very special. She was known for her soft touch and her gift of friendship.

She is survived by

Thomas A. Wilson, Jr., of Delta and his wife Jo Ann

M. Reed Wilson of Florence, AZ

Grandchildren-

Stephen T. Wilson of Sioux Falls, SD

Donna L. Wolgemuth of Stewartstown and her husband Burt

Shawn M. Wilson of Elk Grove, CA and his wife Julie

Kristin M. Vargas of Gilbert AZ and her husband Jason

Great grandchildren-

Tyler A. Wolgemuth, Kevin A. Wolgemuth, Jacob T. Wilson, Adam M. Wilson, Anna L. Wilson, Alyssa R. Wilson, Jadyn M. Wilson, Dominic Wilson, Rianna Vargas and Nicholas Vargas.

Many loving nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15 from 6-8 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, November 16 at 2:30 PM at Centre Presbyterian Church, 83 New Park Road, New Park with a visitation from 1:30-2:30 PM.

Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Her pastor Rev. James L. Biller will officiate.
