PEGGY Y. PARKER, age 65 years, died on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 in her home in Darlington, Maryland. She was the wife of George Parker and they shared twenty-eight years of marriage.
Mrs. Parker was born on September 7, 1942 in Junior, West Virginia a daughter of the late Harvey and Agnes (Moore) Yeager. Working as a postal carrier in the Darlington area for fourteen years, she retired in 2004. Mrs. Parker was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church in Darlington. She was an avid collector of depression glass and loved jewelry.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by:
A daughter, Diane Monk and a granddaughter, Grace Monk of Darlington, Maryland
Siblings-
Harvey Yeager, Jr. of Darlington; Jerry Yeager of Sudlersville, Maryland; Patricia Kohler of Pennsylvania; Michael Yeager of Street, Maryland; Pamela Johnson, also of Darlington.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Paulette Mouser.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania. A visitation will be held from 10:30 till 12 noon with the funeral service beginning at noon.
Pastor Gary Sieglein, minister of Darlington United Methodist Church, Darlington, Maryland will officiate. Reverend Sarah E. Staniford will assist in the services.
Interment will be in Darlington Cemetery, Darlington, Maryland.
