PHILIP VAGUE GROOM, 88 of Delta, PA for the past 37 years, died in York Hospital on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Married on January 21, 1988, he was the loving husband of Myrna Elaine (Felix) Groom for 35 years. Born on March 23, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the only child of Kenneth Lyle Groom and Mary Ann (Forse) Groom.

Phil graduated from Wilkinsburg High School of Pittsburgh and then served four years with the United States Marine Corps including being stationed in Japan. He had worked for Commercial Credit Bank, Baltimore, MD as a manager followed by service to Bank of America working in their repossession department. Phil retired in 2000 freeing time to do the things he loved: hunting, fishing, creating woodworking projects and riding his Honda Gold Wing Motorcycle. He and his wife enjoyed the bike so much that when his mobility began to decline, they had the Gold Wing converted into a trike and continued this passion of riding. His wife commented that she will miss everything about him and their lives together.
