REVEREND HUBERT L. PATRICK, age 84 years, of Bel Air, Maryland died on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Born on April 12, 1925 in Castleton, Maryland, he was a son of the late Lonnie V. Patrick and Helen Regina Fogleman Patrick. A veteran of the United States Army, he served in WWII from 1943-1946 in the American and European Theaters. Reverend Patrick attended Asbury College and Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. He was an ordained United Methodist Minister for forty-five years, serving in Kentucky, Michigan and Maryland.
In 1994, he retired and returned to Harford County, Maryland. He enjoyed gardening, wood working and traveling through the United States in his travel trailer.
He is survived by:
His wife of sixty-two years, June Elizabeth (Ward) Patrick of Bel Air, Maryland
A daughter, Carol S. Patrick of Abingdon, Maryland
A grandson, David R. Patrick of Ft. Ashby, West Virginia
He was preceded in death by:
A son, David L. Patrick and his wife, Deborah J. Patrick
Brothers-Homer Patrick, Guy Patrick and George Patrick
A sister, Erline Hash.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dublin United Methodist Church, 1528 Whiteford Road, Street, Maryland, 21154.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 12th at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor James Johnson presiding.
Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bel Air, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dublin United Methodist Church at the above address.
