Reverend Charles Thomas Pruitt, Sr., age 76 years, died on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in his home in Darlington, Maryland. He was the husband of Shirley M. (Beavers) Pruitt, and on the 24th of this month, they would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.
Born on Sept. 23, 1933 in Darlington, he was a son of the late John A. and Mabel C. (Bolt) Pruitt. Mr. Pruitt had worked for many years at Kunkel Automotive as a manager until 1973 when he retired. Ordained as a minister on April 13, 1968 he was the founding pastor of Pleasant Home Regular Baptist Church in Airville, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and photography.

Deborah L Hawkins and her husband Richard of Churchville, Maryland
Charles T. Pruitt, Jr. and his wife Jessie of Northeast, Maryland
Janet M. Pruitt of Maryland
John H. Pruitt and his wife Cindy of Rising Sun, Maryland
4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren
Funeral service will be on Saturday, October 10th at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Home Regular Baptist Church, 15 Salisbury Road, Airville, Pennsylvania with Pastor Robert Lins, Brother Mike Watermyer and Brother William Eller, Jr.
Final resting place will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday, October 9th from 6-8 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, Pennsylvania
