Richard A. Barrett, age 85 years, of Street, MD died at his home on Monday, January 20, 2025. He was the husband of Ruth Ann (Crowl) Barrett who preceded him in death on December 29, 2024.

Richard was born in Jarrettsville, MD on October 7, 1939, a son of the late Harold G. and Lillian (Conner) Barrett. He was a 1957 graduate of North Harford High School and a longtime member of the Highland Presbyterian Church. Richard loved to travel with the AARPS group and planning getaways for his wife with whom he enjoyed numerous trips and travel throughout the United States and Europe.

He retired from Ryder and then continued to work for many years after retirement.

He is survived by,

His son, Robert A. Barrett, and his wife, Debra of Delta, PA

His daughter, Renee A. Ford, and her husband, Keith of White Hall, MD

Three grandchildren, Haley Ford, William Ford, and his wife, Caroline and Duane Sisson and his wife, Crystal.

His brother, Robert E. Barrett of Street, MD

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul Barrett.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 1:30 pm at the Highland Presbyterian Church, 701 Highland Rd., Street, MD 21154.

The viewing will be immediately preceding the funeral service beginning at 12:30 pm.

Her pastor, Reverend Ray R. Meute, Jr. will officiate.

Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
