RICHARD M.(Dick) BARNETT, JR., age 64 years, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in his home in Delta, PA. He was the husband of Amy S. (Anzalone) Barnett of Fawn Grove, PA.

Born on March 5, 1947 in York, PA, he was the son of Lois E. (Poteet) Barnett of Delta and the late Richard M. Barnett, Sr. Dick was a 1965 graduate of Red Lion Area High School and a US Navy Veteran serving from 1966 to 1970. Dick was employed by Aberdeen Proving Ground in Harford County, MD for 37 years retiring in 2006, working as a test director of large artillery. He also was the originator and owner of Big Dog Cycle Shop at his home.

Dick attended Pine Grove Presbyterian Church in Airville, PA and was a member of the Slate Ridge American Legion Post #182 in Whiteford, MD. He liked baseball and enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball when his sons were younger. He was a caring father.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Suzanne L. Barnett on February 11, 2006.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, 4263 Delta Road, Airville, PA with the Memorial Service beginning at 4 p.m.

His pastor, Reverend James B. Shuler and Pastor Jonathan Batchelder of Fawn Grove Church of the Nazarene will co-officiate.
