Richard N. DeVoe, age 86 years of Baltimore, MD died peacefully on January 19, 2012. He was the wife of Frances DeVoe, to whom he was married for 48 years.
He was born and raised in Pylesville, MD, a son of the late James B. and Mary Wynola (Burns) DeVoe. Richard served in the U.S. Navy and returned home after completing his duty. A longtime resident of Baltimore, he began his career with Cloverland Dairy where he worked until his retirement. He was a proud member of the Fawn Grove Post #7133, V.F.W.
He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and could always come up with a good joke to make people smile. Richard enjoyed cooking, especially seafood. He was popular for his crab cakes and his hot and spicy crab soup. He spent much of his time on weekends visiting family and friends and looked forward to helping with Olde Tyme Days in Fawn Grove, PA.
Most important to Richard was the time spent with his beloved granddaughter and great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his brother; Gerald E. DeVoe and his sister; Cora DeVoe Hostler.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.
Interment will be in Fawn Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 1 - 2 p.m.
Pallbearers are Neal and Gerry DeVoe, Keith Lochary, Michael Yale, James Yale and Mark DeVoe
