Obituary

ROBERT EUGENE WALLACE, 88 of Churchville, MD, passed away on Wednesday, New Year's Day of 2025 at Sterling Care, Bel Air, MD. Born on August 2, 1936, in the Rocks area of Harford County, MD, he was a son of the late Chester Andrew Wallace and Ruth Anna (Stewart) Wallace.

Robert was lead custodian working for Aircraft Armaments Incorporated for 30 years at the Cockeysville location, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed watching Westerns, especially John Wayne movies. The Big Valley television series was also a favorite. Robert listened to many types of music but found Motown to be the favorite. He was a longtime member of Chestnut Grove AME Church.

Robert was friendly, outgoing, loved to meet people, joke, and laugh. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, kind heart and his delicious Lima Bean Soup.

He is survived by:

Robert E. Wallace, Jr.

Kelvin D. Wallace

Clarence E. Wallace and his wife, Christina

A sister, Edna Holland

Sixteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Marian Miller, William Howard Wallace, and Chester Leroy Wallace.

Services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Chestnut Grove AME Church, 828 Coen Road, Street, MD. There will be a viewing from 10 – 11 a.m., followed immediately by the funeral service. Reverend Dr. Harriett G. McCombs will officiate. The interment will be held in the adjoining church cemetery.
