OBITUARY WRITTEN BY HIS FAMILY
ROBERT SAMUEL PERRY, of Delta, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. He was in his 54th year.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Albert Robert and Betty Katherine (Richards) Perry, formerly of Cincinnati. He was also the grandson of the late Clifford George Richards and Lula Murphy Richards, formerly of Tullahoma, TN.
Mr. Perry was a 1976 graduate of Sycamore Vocational School in Cincinnati and a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1977 to 1983 as a Staff Sergeant. He was an Instructor to the Track Vehicle Recovery Branch, Track Vehicle Division, Mobility Department at the US Army Ordnance Center and School, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. From 1984 to 1990, he was a Civilian Instructor to the Recovery and Systems Division, Mobility Department at the USA Ordnance Center and School, also at Aberdeen Proving Ground.
Mr. Perry received the NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Primary), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award) Marksman Badge (Rifle) and Expert Badge (Grenade.)
Later he worked for United Rentals Company as a Service Manager until 2009. Mr. Perry enjoyed fixing and restoring any types of vehicles that he could get his hands on and was an avid Harley Davidson biker.
He is survived by:
His wife, Teresa L. Sauers Perry of Delta, PA
Three daughters: Rachel K. Perry, Stephanie L. Perry and Christa M. Perry, all of Delta
A grandson, Cody Robert Barber of Delta
He is also survived by his Uncle Kenneth Carl Richards and Aunt Carla Richards of Houston, TX.

Samuel and Sherrie Sauers of Street, MD
Nicholas Sauers of Street, MD
Stephen Sauers and Kathy Hewitt of Darlington, MD
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.
Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
