LIFE STORY PREPARED BY HIS FAMILY-
Robert T. Freeland, of Columbia, PA, formerly of Delta, PA, went to be with his Lord after a lengthy illness. Robert was that son of Katherine A. Freeland Behrens and was born on January 13, 1971 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Freeland attended Kennard Dale High School and graduated from Moshannon Valley High School, Houtzdale, PA. He attended Hiram G Andrews Center in Johnstown, PA and was trained to be a Custodial Engineer. Throughout his life, he worked a lot of odd jobs, until he became incapacitated from congestive heart failure and kidney disease. He resided in York, PA and Harford County, MD. Eventually, he became a resident at Susquehanna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Columbia, PA until his death.
Throughout his lifetime he was a member of Delta Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company, Ramey Volunteer Fire Company and was a Senior Member in the Civil Air Patrol. He held memberships in Mt. Nebo UM Church and Janesville UM Church.
Freeland is survived by his mother, Katherine Sexton Freeland Behrens, his stepfather Rev. Dr. James R. Behrens of Hughesville, PA. A brother Charles D. (Elizabeth) Freeland of Flatlick, KY, a stepbrother Jeremy J. Behrens of Hughesville, PA; a step-sister Anne (Bill) Bucher of Delta, Dorothy (Richard) Wisnesiski of Baltimore, MD; Albert (Sandy) Freeland, of Aberdeen, MD, and Howard T. (Nicki) Freeland Jr. of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Freeland Sr. and a brother, Thomas Freeland and his stepsister Jamie L. Behrens Rood. He also had numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 20th at 2 p.m. in Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD. Please gather at the graveside for the service.
