ROMAN S. TURNER, III; age 56 years, of Red Lion, Pennsylvania died on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the husband of Frances Christine Turner who died on April 22, 2006.

Mr. Turner was born on October 1, 1952 in Havre de Grace, Maryland; he was a son of the late Roman S. Turner, II and Doris (Hall) Turner. He was a 1970 graduate of Red Lion Area High School and had worked as a cabinet maker for over twenty years at Mastercraft Specialties in Red Lion.

He is survived by:

A son, Roman S. Turner, IV of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania

Two grandsons-

Roman, V; and Landon

A granddaughter, Dara

Three sisters-

Lana Turner and Barbara Turner of York, Pennsylvania

Lisa Turner Porter of Newark, Delaware

Four brothers-

Mitchell Hall Turner of York, Pennsylvania

James Turner of Hanover, Pennsylvania

Larry Turner of Dallastown, Pennsylvania

Gregory Turner, also of York

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania from 6 - 8 PM.

Funeral services will be on Monday, the 29th at 11:00 AM at Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church, 1006 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Interment will be in the Trinity A.M.E. Zion Cemetery, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Pallbearers will be Steven Turner, Mitchell Turner, Mitchell Hall Turner, Roman S. Turner, IV; Keith Turner and Christopher Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
