Ronald Lee Houck, 68, of North Port, FL, died surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Venice Hospice House, Venice, FL. Ronald was born in Port Deposit, MD, to his parents, Robert Leroy and Minnie Belle (Barker) Houck. Ronald married his beloved spouse, LouAnn (Shepp) Houck on March 31, 2005.

Ronald had a long career in manufacturing as a welder. He worked for many years on the Transcontinental Pipeline and then later for Harley-Davidson. When he was not working, Ronald was a talented grill master. He spent many hours perfecting his hobby on the pit that he and his father designed and built. He passed his passion of grilling and the pit he designed onto his son. He also enjoyed attending car shows, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, attending air shows and launching fireworks. In 2017, he and LouAnn moved from Airville to North Port, FL where he found a new enjoyment, watching rocket launches. Together, he and LouAnn spent many evenings on the beach watching the sunset.

In addition to his beloved LouAnn and his mother, Ronald is survived by his son, Russell Leroy Houck and his wife Susan, of Jarrettsville, MD. He is also survived by his brother, Jeffery Houck and his wife Tammie, of Conowingo, MD and his sister, Susan Gorhan, of Street, MD.

Ronald was predeceased by his father, Robert Leroy Houck.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 10:00 am until Noon at Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, PA. A funeral service will begin in the chapel of the funeral home at Noon with Pastor Ryan Wiggins of Emory United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will immediately follow the funeral at Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
