RONALD L. McNUTT, age 80 years, of Darlington died on Monday, August 23, 2010 at Harford Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Billie (Caulford) McNutt with whom he had shared 56 years of marriage.
Born on July 24, 1930 in Darlington, he was a son of the late Lee Earl and Eva (Bishop) McNutt.
A lifetime resident of Darlington, following his graduation from Bel Air High School he served in the U.S. Army Reserves. After 33 years of service, Mr. McNutt retired in 1984 from Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department as Assistant Chief. He was an original member of the Darlington Volunteer Fire Department where he served as Assistant Chief as well as administrator. Mr. McNutt was honored with induction into the Harford-Cecil Fire Fighter Hall of Fame.
A Master Mason, he was a member of Stephenson Lodge #135, A.F.&A.M., Darlington. Mr. McNutt's church membership was with the Grace Memorial Episcopal Church in Darlington.
Other memberships include Ducks Unlimited, N.R.A., Historical Williamsburg Foundation and other wildlife associations.
Mr. McNutt loved to cook and bake and was famous for his Jewish apple cake.

Melissa Copeland, Sarah Copeland, Aaron Swick, Rebekah Swick, Kyle Patrick, Evan Patrick and Anne Patrick
Three great grandchildren
Aleah Copeland, Abby Copeland and Sidney Bull
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA.
Officiating will be Reverend Nick McDonald and Pastor Margaret Reeves.
Interment will be in Darlington Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, August 26th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home where a Masonic Service led by Stephenson Lodge will be held at 7:30 p.m. followed immediately by a tribute from the Darlington Volunteer Fire Company.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Darlington V.F.C., P.O. Box 178, Darlington, MD 21034.
