RONALD W. LANE, 72 years, of Airville, PA died at his home on Monday, February 8, 2016. He was the husband of Joyce D. (Sirk) Lane, and they had shared 25 years of marriage.

Born on October 29, 1943 in Airville, PA, he was a son of the late Nathaniel David and Patty M. (Booth) Lane. Mr. Lane was a 1961 graduate of R.L. A. S. H. and had worked in construction, as a maintenance contractor and a civil supervisor. Traveling throughout his career, he had worked for NPS, CBI and McCalls. Mr. Lane had recently retired and enjoyed playing pool, darts and going to the John S. Murphy VFW Post #7130, in Delta. Birdwatching and feeding from the deck of his home, his care attracted numerous varieties.

A daughter, Rose A. Martin and her husband, Robert of Cashtown, PA

Two stepdaughters-

Cindy A. Vanzoeren of Syracuse, NY

Carla A. Arceneaux and her husband Bryon of Stevensville, MI

A brother, Richard N. Lane and his wife, Barbara of Felton, PA

A sister, Rachael A. Sarti and her husband, Larry of Berkley Springs, WV

Nine grandchildren

He was preceded in death by:

A son, Ronald W. Lane, Jr.

Siblings: Edna Pepler, James Lane, Rosie Haugh, Arnold Ray Lane, Robert Lane, Roy Dean Lane and Glenn A. Lane, John Lane, Silas Lane, Joseph Lane, Calvin "Bill" Lane, Mary Ellen Lewis, Alfred Lane and Henry Lane.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, PA followed immediately with the funeral service. Reverend Jim Tyson of City Church York, York, PA will officiate.

Interment will be private in Welcome Home Cemetery, Airville, PA.
