ROY STEVEN "Hairy" RHOADES, age 59 years, died on Sunday, December 18, 2011 in his home in Delta, PA. He was the husband of Margaret "Maggie" (Watkins) Rhoades and on December 23rd they would have celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary.

Born on February 25, 1952 in York, PA, he was the son of the late William Edward and Sarah (Thompson) Rhoades. He was employed with the Harrisburg Local #1180 Laborers' International working mostly at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station. Mr. Rhoades enjoyed woodworking, Harley-Davidson history and the Baltimore Ravens.

Three children-

Candie Grafton and her husband, Louis of Delta

Clint Rhoades and his wife, Shalonda, also of Delta

Jarrett Rhoades and his wife, Monica of Abingdon, MD

Four grandchildren-

Louis Grafton, IV; Alex Grafton, China Rhoades and Clint Rhoades, Jr.

Two step grandchildren-Alina Johnson and Shawn Ellis.

Siblings-

William Rhoades and his wife, Catherine of Topping, VA

Louise Morris and her husband, William of Delta

Warren Rhoades and his wife, Rosie, also of Delta

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Rhoades.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA where the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Interment will be private.
