Ruby Alberta Moxley, 93, of Street, MD, passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Ruby was born in Lenoir, NC, to her late parents, Charles Lee and Maude Alberta (Brown) Parsons. She was married to her late husband, Jesse Page Moxley, until his death on February 3, 2018.

Ruby moved to Darlington when she was five years old, traveling on a bus with her brother to live with her aunt and uncle after her mother's death. After graduating from high school, she married Jesse at 18 and together they began their beautiful story. In 1953, Jesse finished their family home on their farm, where Ruby lived until she died. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. More than anything, she loved the Lord. She and Jesse attended Delta Baptist Church and later, Franklin Baptist Church, where she enjoyed fellowshipping with her church family and especially her pastor and close friend, Reverend John Davis.

Ruby is survived by her children; Gary Page Moxley, of Street, MD and Marjory Lee King and her husband David, of Delta, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jesse Page Moxley, Kimberly Ann Moxley, David S. King and Benjamin D. King and her great grandchildren; Jacob Jesse Moxley, Dylan David King, Isaac King and Harper Moxley. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Gwen Ritchie and Marion Chandler and her brother, Doug Parsons.

In addition to her late husband and parents, Ruby was predeceased by her siblings; Charles Lee Parsons, Kaye Steinberg, Norma Delloso, Robert Parsons, Richard Parsons and Donald Parsons.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Franklin Baptist Church, 2106 Franklin Church Road, Darlington, MD. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary of the church with Reverend John Davis officiating. Interment will immediately follow the funeral at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD.
