RUTH A. LINKOUS, age 93 years, of Delta, PA died on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the home of her son, with whom she had resided for several years. She was the wife of Paul Everett Linkous, Sr., who died on July 9, 1996.

Ruth was born on December 13, 1922 in Red Lion, PA a daughter of the late Ira D. and Rebecca B. (Snyder) Kimmons. She was a 1941 graduate of the former Fawn Township High School in Gatchelville and had worked for a time for the former McCorquodale Color Card Company in Whiteford, MD. From 1964, until her retirement in 1981, Ruth worked processing mail in the Edgewood Arsenal area of Aberdeen Proving Ground. She joined her church, Community of Christ Church on August 11, 1951 and was a faithful member.

She is survived by two children:

Paul Everett Linkous, Jr., and his wife, Amy of Delta

Linda Linkous Miller of Delta

She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Deborah Beck; William Young, and his wife, Laura; Timothy Young, and his companion, Robin Thomas, Glenn Miller, Jr., and his wife, Nancy; Laura Hatoff Thisse, and her wife, Anita, Rebecca Miller Hill; Paul Everett Linkous, III, and his wife, Aimie; John Thomas Linkous, and his wife, Daria.

Ruth is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her daughter; Ruth Ann Linkous Young; her grandson, Darwin Young; and her sister, Mary Linger.

The viewing will be held on Saturday, February 27, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA followed immediately by the funeral service at 1:30.

Interment will follow in Fawn Grove Cemetery.
