RUTH E. DeVAUGHN, age 84 years of Delta, Pennsylvania and formerly of Hampstead, Maryland, died in Delta at the home of her daughter at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2006. She was the wife of Lawrence DeVaughn who died in 1999.

Mrs. DeVaughn was born in Rockingham Co., West Virginia on August 26, 1921 a daughter of the late Luther and Ora (Grimm) Briles. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting pictures.

Virginia Waddell of Delta, Pennsylvania

Joan DeVaughn of West Palm Beach, Florida

Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Reverend Ann Walker of Delta United Methodist Church will preside.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 from 2-4 PM and from 7-9 PM.

Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Pallbearers will be Scott Gordon, Charles Stoker, Daniel Schlossenberg, Ryan Schlossenberg, Aaron Gaeth and Thomas Abbott.
