Ruth E. Dickerson, age 87 years of Darlington, MD went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 19 at Hart Heritage Estates Assisted Living Home, Street, MD. She was the wife of the late William E. Dickerson.

Mrs. Dickerson was born on Oct. 8 1923 in Ashe County, N.C. a daughter of the late John A. and Sarah (Curd) Jones. She was a homemaker and during World War 2 she worked in an ammunition factory and later at Bainbridge Naval Station. She and her husband were dedicated members of Evangelical Methodist Church for 40 years, Franklin Baptist for 10 years and Trappe Baptist Church for 4 years. Mrs. Dickerson and her husband enjoyed bowling and traveling throughout the United States. She enjoyed working in her flower garden.

She is survived by 1 son- Donald C. Dickerson, a daughter- Janis S. Williams and her husband David all of Darlington, MD.

4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

1 sister- Nellie Wyatt of Lexington, N.C.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 12 PM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA. Visitation will be for 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Randall D. Williams of Trappe Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will be at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
