RUTH M. HASH, age 79 years of Red Lion, PA died at 7:07 a.m. on Monday, February 29, 2016 at York Hospital.

Mrs. Hash was born in Peach Bottom Township, PA on July 3, 1936 a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Margaret M. (McCallister) Miller. Ruth was raised in the Bryansville area and was a 1954 graduate of Kennard-Dale High School. Ruth then worked as a seamstress at the Fawn Grove Manufacturing Co. for several years, followed by an almost 35 year career in the personnel departments of the Bainbridge Naval Training Center and Aberdeen Proving Ground, from which she retired.

She was a longtime member of the Fawn United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.

One son: Steven M. Hash of Red Lion

One sister: Mary M. Wright of Red Lion

One brother: Thomas J. Miller of Whiteford, MD

One grandson: Steven M. Hash, Jr. of Red Lion

She was preceded in death by her special friend, Joseph W. Snyder.

Friends may call at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA on Sunday evening, March 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fawn United Methodist Church, 67 S. Market St. Fawn Grove, PA with her pastor, Reverend David W. Stough officiating.

Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
