Ruth Rogers Myers, 97, of Delta passed away in her home, surrounded by family on Sunday May 17, 2026.

Born in Hammonton, NJ on September 08, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Elsie (Mawson) Rogers. She graduated from Reading High School in 1946. She then graduated with her B.S. in Education from Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee in 1950. She had a long career of teaching elementary school. Eighteen and a half of those years were spent at Delta Peach Bottom Elementary School where she retired from in 1982. A testament to her excellent memory, she remembered the name of every student she ever taught.

Ruth was a member of Slateville Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and served as an Elder. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary at Post #7130 and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary at Post #182. She also belonged to the Penn Mary Order of the Eastern Star.

An avid sports enthusiast, she enjoyed playing tennis well into her late 70s. She also enjoyed watching whatever sport she could find on the television. She loved Hallmark movies and Gameshows, always playing along with the contestants. Always up for an adventure, she loved to travel and create memories with her friends and family.

Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Donald Myers with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. She is survived by two sons, both of Delta, Gregory Myers and his wife Monica, and Richard Myers and his wife, Denise. She is also survived by four grand children, Angela Rigney and her husband Scott, Kristine Calleros and her husband Eddie, Richard Myers Jr., and Kimberly Raush and her husband Michael. She is also survived by seven great grand children, Natalie Rigney, Keegan Rigney, Zoey Myers, Richard(Rhett) Myers III, Santiago Calleros, Michael Calleros and Joseph Calleros as well as many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Greenly in 2020.

A memorial service with graveside burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday June 27th, 2026 at Slateridge Presbyterian Church located at 308 Slateville Road. Delta PA 17314 . A luncheon and time to share memories with her family and friends will be held immediately after at Slate Ridge American Legion Post 182 located at 2217 Whiteford Road. Whiteford Maryland 21160.
