RUTHANN E. RICHARDSON, age 74 years of Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, died on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Home. She was the wife of Bobby C. Richardson with whom she had shared 55 years of marriage.

Born on September 5, 1936 in Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Minnie (Morris) Winemiller. Before moving to Pennsylvania, she had lived in Kernersville, North Carolina. A homemaker, she enjoyed puzzle books, reading Country Living magazines and was an avid Oriole Baseball fan. Mrs. Richardson was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed the changing of the seasons, especially the turning of leaves and would travel as far as New York State to enjoy their beauty.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:

A daughter, Beth Johns and her husband, Leigh Johns, Jr. of Lake Hopatcong, N.J.

A sister, Mary Gemmill and her husband, George of Parkton, Maryland

A brother, Charles Winemiller and his wife, Hilda of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania

Four grandchildren and a great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Brian K. Richardson in December, 2009.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania with her minister, Pastor Dennis L. McCleary officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fawn Grove.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
