Sara Louise Colvin Anderson, age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Ephrata Manor in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of Wiley Ruff Anderson who died on October 16, 1985.

Sara was born April 19, 1913 in Lower Chanceford Township to Robert Lee and Blanche Corella (Barnett) Colvin. She graduated from Delta High School and Millersville Teachers College and taught in a one-room schoolhouse in Lower Chanceford Township for nine years.

Sara married Wiley Ruff Anderson on June 16, 1942. During their marriage Sara and Wiley made their home in several different areas of the United States when DuPont Corp. would reassign Wiley.

She was a member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, Airville.

Sara moved to Ephrata in 1991 where she resided until her death.

She is survived by

One son: Robert (Bob) Anderson and wife Kaelan of Oak Harbor, Washington

One granddaughter: Amy Nelson and her husband Les

One great granddaughter: Katelyn Nelson

One great grandson: Andrew Nelson, all of Ferndale, Washington

Four nieces: Evelyn Colvin Reed, Roberta Anderson Scharschmidt, Sue Harry and Carolyn Glenn

Two nephews: James S. Anderson, and David Glenn

Sara will always be remembered for her kind and giving heart, her love of family, church, and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, 4263 Delta Road, Airville, Pennsylvania 17302

Officiating will be her pastor, Reverend James B. Shuler.

Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Snyder, Andre' Miller, David Glenn, Donald Reed, Andrew Glenn and Keith Lash.
