Born on January 28, 1956, in Oneonta, New York, Shawn was the son of the late Leland A. Stilwell and Josephine E. (Smith) Stilwell. Throughout his career, Shawn worked as a Production Field Service Technician with Ubeo, formerly Centric Business Systems.
Shawn had a lifelong love of music, playing in a band and participating in church bands over the years. He also cherished the outdoors, especially camping, and loved grilling and smoking meats, often sharing these passions with his family. His bond with his daughter, Danielle, was filled with laughter, learning, and plenty of hands-on moments—whether it was teaching her car maintenance or offering his support. He always made sure she knew how special she was to him.
Shawn is survived by his son, Shane C. Stilwell, and wife Tamera of New York; his daughter, Danielle E. Boehm, and her husband Aaron, of Delta; and his two grandsons, Drake and Magnus Boehm, whom he adored. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa Stilwell of Norwich, New York, and his brother, Reggie Stilwell, and wife Paula, of Colorado. Shawn was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole M. Stilwell, and his brother, Kevin Stilwell.
Shawn's family and friends will always remember him for his generosity, sense of humor, and the love he freely gave to those around him. He was also known for always having a welcoming pot of coffee brewing, ready to share with anyone who stopped by. He will be deeply missed.
