STEPHEN ALAN DELP, 74 of Whiteford, MD, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 in his home. Married on May 7, 1998, he was the beloved husband of Donna Fay (Corns) Delp, and they had shared nearly 25 years of marriage.
Born on October 29, 1948 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late William Clarence Delp and Jean Elizabeth (McKinnley) Delp. He was 1966 graduate of North Harford High School in Pylesville, MD. Stephen served with the US Army with the rank of Buck Sargent, as a gunner in the 7th Battalion, 8th Artillery Unit in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #182 of Whiteford, MD. Stephen was known as a hardworking man with 36 years of employment as a crane operator for Exelon, retiring in May of 2003.
Stephen was strong in his Christian faith and attended New Covenant Community Church. He had restored a 1941 Chevrolet hot-rod pick-up that he was very proud of. He enjoyed attending car shows with his truck and was quite successful in bringing home trophies. He cherished his family and always had great advice for his children. And most of all, he loved going on adventures with Donna, his wife. His caring spirit and love will be missed by all.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2 p.m. at New Covenant Community Church, 284 Slab Road, Delta, PA 17314 with military honors presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard beginning the event. Pastor Rod Anderson will officiate.
The family invites you to come as you are. No need for fancy clothes. Steve was a simple guy. Light refreshments will be served after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to the church at the above address.
Military honors will be presented at 2 p.m. in appreciation of Stephen's service during the Vietnam War to begin the event.
