IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sterling C.
Shelley, Jr.
October 5, 1948 – February 22, 2026
Sterling C. Shelley, Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family.
He was the beloved husband of the late Judith L. (Lowe) Shelley and the cherished son of the late Geraldine (Hutton) Shelley and Sterling C. Shelley, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul M. Shelley.
Sterling is survived by his loving daughter, Christa (Shelley) Craig, and her husband, David W. Craig; and by his adored grandsons, James S. Craig and Joshua D. Craig, who were truly the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his brothers, Todd Shelley (Betsy) and Kirk Shelley, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sterling was an extraordinary man who loved his family deeply. Nothing brought him greater happiness than time spent with those he loved most. He especially treasured sharing his interests with his grandsons — particularly his love for classic cars, trucks, and tractors. An avid NASCAR fan, he rarely missed the chance to enjoy a race.
He also had a special place in his heart for children and for cats, reflecting his gentle, compassionate, and generous spirit.
Sterling’s legacy will live on through the values he instilled, the memories he created, and the love he so freely shared.
