STEWART A. RICE, JR., age 59 years, of Darlington, Maryland died on Tuesday,

October 31, 2006 at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mr. Rice was born on February 4, 1947 in Havre de Grace, Maryland a son of the late Stewart A. Rice, Sr. and Carrie Isabel Booker Rice. He worked for the State Highway Administration as a road worker and for Ernie Mays in his mechanic shop. He attended the Trinity A.M.E Zion Church in Delta, Pennsylvania.

He is survived by:

A sister, Alice Ann Rice and a brother, Anthony Rice, both of Darlington

A nephew, Bill Rice of Darlington

His grandmother, Alice B. Rice, also of Darlington

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2006 at Trinity A.M.E Zion Church, 1006 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania

Reverend Johnnie Snipes will officiate.

Visitation with the family will be held just prior to the funeral service at the church from 10-11 AM.

Interment will be in Trinity Zion Cemetery, Delta, and Pennsylvania
