SUSAN M. KOERNER, age 59 years, of Delta, Pennsylvania died on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. She was the wife of Joseph J. T. "Jim" Koerner, Jr. with whom she had shared 38 years of marriage.

Born on July 1, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Leonard T. and Rita B. (Carroll) Waters. A registered nurse, Mrs. Koerner had been employed for 25 years at the former Fallston General Hospital and as a supervisor at Stella Maris in Timonium, Maryland.

Jennifer L. Koerner of Rosedale, Maryland

Joseph J.T. "Jim" Koerner, III of Lahaina, Hawaii

Nicholas H. Koerner and his wife, Nicole of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania

Mark R. Koerner and his wife, Christine of Joppatowne, Maryland

Four grandchildren-Nathan Koerner, Nevan Koerner, Luke Koerner and Zayda Williamson.

A Brother, Robert Waters of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Two sisters-

Twin sister, Sarah Witzberger of Wheeling, West Virginia

Rita Tutino of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

She was preceded in death by her siblings-Leonard Waters, Richard Waters, Dennis Waters and Patricia Schmidt.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania. A gathering in Susan's honor will be held immediately following the service at the John S. Murphy VFW, 424 Broad Street Extended, Delta.
