Sydney R. Blake, age 72 years of Delta, PA died on Thursday, April 23 at Harford memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD.

Mr. Blake was born in West Virginia, a son of the late Alpha and Dollie (Blankenship) Blake. He had worked at the former Bata Shoe Company. He was a train buff and loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar.

He is survived by a daughter- Wilma L. Zellman of Perryville, MD

2 sons- David R. and James L. Blake- both of Earleville, MD

The mother of his children- Dorothy (Jordan) Blake of Earleville, MD

7 grandchildren- Missy Zellman, Cristina Blake, C.W. Zellman, Nicole Blake, David Blake, Kara Zellman and Shelby Blake

1 great granddaughter- Desiree Thompson

4 brothers- David Blake of Airville, PA- Daryl Blake of Jarrettsville, MD - Ellery Blake of Conowingo, MD and Oliver Blake of Fawn Grove, PA

2 sisters- Dinah Ward of Delta, PA and Cleva Hutson of York, PA

Funeral service will be on Monday, April 27 at 11 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday April 26 from 6-8 PM

Burial will be at Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA
