Obituary

THELMA IRENE HOPKINS, age 75 years, of Aberdeen, Maryland died on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Lorien at Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Belcamp, Maryland. She was the wife of Hugh McDonald Hopkins who died on May 19, 2005.

Mrs. Hopkins was born on October 11, 1930 in Harford County, Maryland, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Cochran) Sparks. She was a lifetime resident of Harford County. She worked for the former Bel Air Manufacturing Company as a seamstress for fifteen years. She worshiped her Baptist faith at many local churches. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and helping others. Her fondest times were spent with her family.

She is survived by:

A daughter, Glenda Ramsey, of Aberdeen, Maryland

Three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

Four brothers-

John Howard Sparks, John W. Sparks, Leonard D. Sparks, and Roy Banks Sparks, all of Harford County, Maryland

Three sisters-

Medline Johnson of Jarrettsville, Maryland

Helen Mitchell of Bel Air, Maryland

Marie McCarter of Havre de Grace, Maryland

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, Pennsylvania.

Reverend Alvin H. Williams of Sharon Freewill Gospel Baptist Tabernacle, Jarrettsville, Maryland will officiate.

Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service from 10-11 a.m.

Interment will be in Bel Air, Memorial Gardens Bel Air, Maryland.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Ramsey, Michael Ramsey, Roger Ramsey, Tanya Ramsey, Daniel Ramsey, and Daniel Ramsey, Jr.
