Theodore “Ted” Dwight Holland, of Street, entered into rest at Citizens Care Rehabilitation Center on Monday, September 7, 2026 at the age of 76. He was the husband of Joanne (Wallace) Holland.
Ted was born in Harford County on August 29, 1950, to the late Milton Eugene and Doris Lucille Marie (Thomas) Holland. He worked for BGE for 30 years and went on to get his CDL where he drove bus, most recently for Harford County. Ted loved spending time mowing his lawn and enjoyed it so much, he operated a small lawn care company called Holland Lawn Care. He said cutting the lawn was relaxing to him. He loved to collect Hess Trucks and Beersteins whenever he travelled to Williamsburg. He enjoyed time in Myrtle Beach and loved visiting Disney World. He was very family oriented, and enjoyed spending holidays together and attending family picnics. You could hear him laughing in a room above everyone else. Ted was everyone’s friend.
He leaves his children, Danielle N. Bouteraa, Brandy L. Porter and husband, Jason, Travis B. Holland and wife, Holly, and Tristan B. Holland. He also leaves his daughter-in-law, Tina Holland, who was married to his late son, TJ. He leaves his grandchildren, MJ, Ashley, Alicia, Joelle, Elizabeth, Chris, Devon, Kyleigh, Tara, Kaiden, Jaylen, Areya, Ariana, Xavier, as well as his great grandchildren, Lizzy, Aria, Josiah, Kylar, Theo, Ella, Kinsley, CJ, Isaiah, Julianna, and another great grandchild expected in November. He will be missed by his brother, David Holland, and leaves to mourn his aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, “TJ” Theodore Dwight Holland, Jr. and his brother, James Anthony Holland.
A viewing for Ted will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Chestnut Grove AME Church, 828 Coen Road, Street, MD, 21154, beginning at 12:00pm until a service begins at 2:00pm with Retired Pastor Terry Gaddy of Campfield AME Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Wagner-Elfner and Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Main Street, Delta, is assisting the family with arrangements.
