THOMAS EDWARD RINEHOLT, age 68 years, died on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in his home in Darlington, Maryland. He was the husband of Joan (Triplett) Rineholt with whom he had shared 45 years of marriage.
Born on November 27, 1941 in Esty, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Michael Phillip and Cordelia (Workman) Rineholt. Mr. Rineholt was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1959 to 1965. He retired in 2003 from Northrup Grumman maintenance department. Prior to that, he worked for St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church for over ten years where he maintained the church buildings and grounds, including the cemetery. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Rising Sun, Maryland. He enjoyed building birdhouses and watching the hummingbirds. A self taught guitar, banjo and mandolin player, he especially enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music.

James Rineholt of Conowingo, Maryland and Leonard Rineholt of Spotsylvania, Virginia
He was preceded in death by his sisters Leona Vickers, Minnie Simmons, Iva Bines, Margaret Lawson and brothers Michael Rineholt, Jr., Melvin Rineholt, Alfred Rineholt and Paul Rineholt.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Gateway Baptist Church, 58 Foxy Court, Rising Sun, Maryland with his minister, Pastor David Landers officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pylesville, Maryland with military honors presented by the United States Naval Honor Guard.
Visitations will be held on Friday, August 27th from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
