V. SUE YOUNG, age 69 years of York, Pennsylvania died on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard S. Young, Sr. who died on January 21, 1994.

Mrs. Young was born on August 2, 1937 in Street, Maryland a daughter of the late William E. and Beatrice (Burchett) Horton. In 1955, she graduated from North Harford High School in Pylesville, Maryland and had served as treasurer for her class reunion association. She retired from working as a bookkeeper for the former Collinsville Discount Center in Brogue, Pennsylvania. She was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed creating fashions for her family. She was a member of the Surviving Spouses Club of York and the Shiloh Post #791 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of York.

She is survived by:

Richard S. Young, Jr. of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania

Angela F. Wisner and Timothy M. Young, both of York

Four grandchildren-

Alexandra and Samantha Wisner of York

Caleb and Megan Young, also of York

Step-grandchildren-

A niece-Teresa A. Jarvis of Darlington, Maryland

A grandniece Andrea N. Nobile and great grandnieces, Jaimeson and Bailey Nobile of Street

She was preceded in death by her siblings-Vena J. Reeves, Bobby L. Horton, Vera E. Horton and William E. Horton, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 25th at 11 AM at Harkins Funeral Home, Inc., 600 Main St., Delta.

Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday evening from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Delta.

Palbearers will be Steven Horton, Eric Horton, Tom Reeves, Dean Jervis, Jason Noble and Patrick Gruver.
