Verla Lee Felts, 92, of Whiteford, MD, died on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Brightview Assisted Living, Bel Air, MD. Verla was born in Sevierville, TN to her late parents, Otis Denton and Pauline (Hurst) Arnold. She was married to her late husband, Arnold Felts for 56 years prior to his death.

Verla and her late husband moved to Harford County in 1961 to raise their family. Verla was the quintessential southern woman. She loved her Lord, her family, the outdoors, working in her beautiful gardens and canning what the Lord provided from her land. Verla was a fantastic cook, ministering to your spirit with a home cooked meal whenever you stopped by. Verla was well known in the area as the Avon saleswoman for 55 years.

Verla is survived by three loving children: Dennis R. (Gwendolyn) Felts, of Delta, PA, Dwain Felts and his significant other Lynn Kirylo, of Port Deposit, MD, Judy Brinck, of Street, MD and daughter-in-law Wanda Felts, of Delta, PA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to her late husband and parents, Verla was predeceased by two children, David Felts and Janet Vickers and one great grandchild, Bradley Kuehne. She was also predeceased by her siblings, C. Marie Robinson, Eula McCoy, Denver Arnold and Ella Bauer and one son-in-law, Terry Brinck.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 6 until 8 pm at Bethany Baptist Church, 4162 Delta Road, Airville, PA. The funeral will be held at the church on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 beginning at Noon with Pastor Rodney Stamper officiating. Interment will immediately follow the funeral in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA.
