VICKI HAWLEY WOOD (Vicki Hawley Shanor) of Street, MD, died in her home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Born on February 10, 1960 in Dunn, NC, she was one of four children born to Linda (Baggett) Hawley and the late Mac Hawley. At the time of her death, she was 63. Vicki was born and raised in North Carolina and graduated from Midway High School in Newton Grove, NC.

Vicki served six years with the United States Coast Guard and was known for her passion to help others. Earlier in her life, she was a driver for White Rose Ambulance, served as an EMT with the Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Department and more recently worked as a home health caregiver. Vicki had cared for members of the Worthington family that were former owners of the Aegis Newspaper.

Vicki loved flowers, working at the former Dean Ashley's Nursery of Conowingo, MD, enjoyed working puzzles, drawing and crocheted items for family and friends as well as offering her creations at Hasley's Store in Pylesville, MD. She was spiritual with a faith in God and enjoyed times spent at home.

She is survived by:

Four children- William Cavallucci, Emily Patterson (TJ), Kelly Widenhouse and Johnny Hawley (Jennifer)

Three brothers-Daryl Hawley, Bart Hawley and David Hawley.

Seven grandchildren
